We love it when we get a thank you letter from the families we help – and we love that we get to share the love with you guys – the people who made it all happen! Take a bow people, take a bow!

This letter was received recently from Alannah’s parents…

Dear Barb, Liat and the IGAB community,

Just a short note to say a huge, heartfelt ‘Thank you’ to all who have made Alannah’s new Medifab ‘Safe Surround Plus’ bed possible. It is with the dedication and hard work of Barb and Liat that IGAB continues to make dreams possible for our families and these beautiful children.

A huge shout out and ‘Thankyou’ to the wider IGAB community for contributing to Alannah’s appeal, sharing the appeal and making this dream possible… even quicker than we could have imagined!

Alannah’s bed has been fantastic for her and she has accepted the change extremely well. She seems very comfortable and secure in the bed and we can rest easy, knowing she is safe and secure for the night. The high-low functions have allowed Alannah some increased independence as she is now able to climb onto the bed herself. As we are also using the bed as her change table, the bed has taken much load off us in having to lift her on to a change table. It has particularly helped me in the post op period of major abdominal and breast reconstructive surgery and the ongoing physical limitations I have as a result of my Breast Cancer diagnosis.

Alannah is sleeping very well at night time in the Safe Surround and this is helping her during the day time as she is trying to adjust to ‘big girl’ routines associated with kinder etc. She is starting to say a few more words now and also starting to take some more food orally too!

Once again, I cannot express our gratitude enough and wish Barb, Liat and the IGAB Community all the very best as the IGAB community continues to grow now and into the future
